Scouting 101: Methods of World Scouting in Management Education. Contribution of World Scouting methods to the education of potential managers or leaders outside Scouting. This study took the risk of exploring outside-academia learning strategies and the essential characteristics of the World Scouting Movement and its contribution, not only to the education of young people, but also to the education of potential managers or leaders outside Scouting, with emphasis in the workplace.
The BAS in Supervision and Management program has incorporated innovative learning strategies and contents from different industries and organizations. They include corporations, government, academia, nonprofits, churches, and youth groups.
Managing people requires values and methods that could come from other areas beyond the workplace and traditional content developed for management education. On 2011, we explored these methods and now it is time to update these initial findings. Stay tune for upcoming updates and surveys.
